NC: Brunswick County Home Show Coming in March

2012 Brunswick County Spring Home Show logoNearly 100 vendors participated in the Fall 2011 Brunswick County Home Show at Sea Trail Golf Resort and Convention Center, Sunset Beach, North Carolina, and more will display their wares and expertise in the 2012 show in March. Consumers contemplating major changes, such as remodeling their kitchens, landscaping their yards or redecorating their homes, or plan lesser improvements such as choosing paint colors or changing a bathroom faucet, vendors at the Home Show offer a wide range of products and services. Insurance, vacation planning and cosmetic vendors all have a place at the Brunswick County Home Show.

Kanoy Communications Computer Sales & Service in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, was pleased with the turnout at the Fall Home Show. "We had local residents but a lot of out-of-town people stopped by, which surprised me," said General Manager Donald Wilson. He explained that visitors from northern states who plan on moving to the area heard about the show and came by to learn which vendors were available for the services they wanted.

"We were pleased with the show. It was very successful," said Staffie Webster, manager of Cox Quality Home Furnishings in Southport, North Carolina. "I had a number of customers who have come in and stated they were at the Home Show and wanted to see what we had." Cox Furnishings has a showroom in Whiteville, North Carolina, with 140,000 SF of space in addition to their 9,000 SF facility in Southport.

Media Services, which publishes magazines such as Carolina Homes & Interiors, CoastalCondoLiving.com and Coastal Million Dollar Homes, organizes the home show and understands the passion people have for everything concerning their homes. It has more than 20 years of experience with the Lifestyle Expo in Myrtle Beach. This experience was valuable when it launched its first home show in Brunswick County.

"We were pleased with the success of our first Brunswick County Home Show in 2011 and look forward to an expanded Show in March," said Media Services Publisher Bill Macchio.

The 32,000-square-foot convention center has won several awards from meeting publications, including The Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings magazine, Convention South 2011 Readers' Choice Award and Best of the South from Meetings South magazine. "We have won Best of the South for three years running, and we are looking for a fourth year," said Sea Trail Director of Convention Services John Humphries. "We have hosted the governor's conference twice and host as many large conventions as possible. The entire resort has private residential properties, as well as 600 villa and condo rentals and three championship golf courses."

"This location is fantastic. It is conveniently located between Myrtle Beach and Wilmington," Macchio said. "Because we are a publishing house with extensive reach on the Internet and through our magazines, the content of the show will live beyond its scheduled days. We are able to promote our vendors throughout the year through electronic coupons and direct mailing of Carolina Homes & Interiors. Vendors have a platform all year long."

Admission to the show is $5 at the door.
